5 days short of 2 months ago, I wrote an article about just how boring the Super 14 is. Nothing has changed. The reason I write this post is because I found a blog on Mweb that has the balls to predict game by game, just who is going to do what in the competition. Stange thing is that he is based in Canada!
Back in February, the 19th to be precise, I wrote that the top 4 teams would be the Crusaders, Hurricanes, Waratahs and the Brumbies. The log, right now has the following:
1 | Crusaders | 8 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 251 | 122 | 129 | 28 | 10 | 3 | 35 |
2 | Waratahs | 9 | 7 | 0 | 2 | 258 | 119 | 139 | 28 | 8 | 5 | 33 |
3 | Brumbies | 8 | 6 | 1 | 1 | 226 | 155 | 71 | 27 | 11 | 2 | 28 |
4 | Hurricanes | 8 | 6 | 0 | 2 | 203 | 146 | 57 | 24 | 13 | 4 | 28 |
So who is the man????
Go back to the post I wrote. It makes for some interesting reading. With all of the talk and waffle we hear from the rugby "experts" on the telly, does any of it mean anything? If someone like me can predict the top 4 as early as February, why have a competition at all?
